Being a MRIS insect just became a whole lot more luxurious with the construction of a new Bug Hotel! Kindergarten teacher, Helen Ewing said the children have been studying ‘minibeasts’ (creatures that do not have a skeleton) and decided to create a new environment for insects using natural material.
Nature Art was embraced by the year 1,2 and 3 students on Friday as part of their afternoon education sessions on campus. Year 1 teacher Skye Robertson guided the students to create nature art with a focus on symmetry. Olivia (Yr 2) is pictured here with her work of art.
Year 6 MRIS students got creative recently learning traditional basket weaving techniques with Aboriginal Educator and Weaver, Lea Taylor from Creative Culture.
