Inspiring parents and teachers at MRIS!

Over 100 parents and educators attended a seminar on an inspiring education innovation pioneered by Victorian school, Geelong Grammar held at The Heart in Margaret River last night.
Geelong Grammar School’s Institute of Positive Education’s lead trainer in WA, Jo Wiese presented a focus on personal transformation through teaching practical skills that positive psychology science shows has significant and lasting impact on well-being.
Hosted by Margaret River Independent School (MRIS), the seminar was well attended with many participants saying they were inspired to put practical skills like promoting resilience; increasing awareness of character strengths; nurturing relationships and giving effective feedback into practice in their everyday family life.
MRIS Principal, Wendy Roediger said she was thrilled with the community attendance and there were plans in place for MRIS to host further community education sessions on positive education and wellbeing in the future..
