Margaret River Independent School’s staff now totals 38.
The school has expanded greatly from the tiny one-teacher school established in 1982 to educate just 12 students. Current principal Wendy Roediger took the helm in 1983 .
In addition to the Teachers, Specialist Teachers and Education Assistants, the staff now boasts a Business Manager, Maintenance Officer, Numeracy and Literacy Tutors, an IT Manager, and a newly appointed Infrastructure, Media & Services Manager.
There are also plans are in place to appoint a Chaplain and a Wellness Officer in the very near future.
MRIS Principal Wendy Roediger said the staff growth reflected prosperous times at the school.
“We are very lucky to have such a wonderful, cohesive team to share the learning journey at MRIS,” she said.
