A French influenced-country is always the focus for Margaret River Independent School’s bi-annual Open Day held on the school grounds.
In recognition of its French Language Program, the school will hold a ‘A French Carnivale’  to celebrate the traditions and culture of France.

Every second year, a French-influenced country is picked to celebrate the students’ French studies. Each class focuses on different aspects of the country from politics and agriculture through to traditional costume, and geography.

Students and teachers dress in colourful attire and host free craft activities in each classroom as part of the celebrations.
