AS a nod to the generous artists who have donated artwork to the Margaret River Art Auction over the last 9 years, a special exhibition will be held during June at the Cultural Centre’s Foyer Gallery.
“Friends in the Foyer” Contributors’ Exhibition opens on Saturday night from 4.30pm with more than 30 artists exhibiting works.
The inaugural event is a way for the Art Auction organisers to show their gratitude to the artists for their continued support since the auction’s conception in 2006.
Exhibition organiser, Claudia Serventy said the artists’ work would be on display for the month of June and they would receive full profit from the sale of their work.
“We decided this would be a great way for us to highlight these talented artists and thank them for donating year after year to assist with fundraising for Margaret River Independent School.
Refreshments will be provided by DigFeastLaugh and Devil’s Lair Winery.
