Former MRIS student and rising soccer star, Creed McKinnon has been named Academic Athlete of the Year, and Athlete of the Year for 2019 at North Idaho College, USA.
His recent academic performance in Advanced Maths earned him a place at the highly selective California Polytechnics State University where he will play for the Mustangs Soccer Team.
At Cal Poly, Creed plans to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Maths, or Kinesiology.
His leadership on and off the field helped his former team, the Cardinals to the play-offs.
The versatile mid-fielder is know for his hard tackling, physical style, long range passing ability and dangerous free kicks.
Creed attended MRIS from Kindergarten in 2003 to Yr 7 in 2011.
