The whole school paused to remember lives lost in war during MRIS’s
Remembrance Day ceremony today.
Organised by the Year 5/6 class, the service included readings from the class, flying the flag at half mast, and the Last Post.
Students wore their grandparent’s medals and laid hand-made wreaths under the flag pole.
Year 5/6
teacher, Julie Lockyer said the class had studied “The Poppy” by Andrew Plant who visited the school last year and focused on the
virtues of Respect and Gratitude.
