MRIS students were keen to try out MRIS’s new Nature
Playground during the first week back at school for 2019.
Completed during the school holidays, students were excited to check out all the features of the structure which
includes a fireman’s pole, climbing frame, fort, lower level cubby, and a bucket and pulley system.
The playground is part of a $100,000 Federal Government Capital Grant awarded to MRIS last year. Also funded
under the grant were two new classrooms, the r
e-installation of the kiln next to the Year 4 classroom, and landscaping work.
New students
This week we welcomed not only 20 new Kindergarten
students but 16 new students into all our other classes
except Year 5.
