Margaret River Independent School students commemorated ANZAC Day early with a service held on Wednesday April 24. A beautiful floral wreath, created by MRIS parent, Poppy was laid by under the school flagpoles.
Year Six students Mya Pettit and Oscar Hardy will represent the school at tomorrow’s community ANZAC service to be held at Memorial Park.
Principal Wendy Roediger said the school has been involved in the community service for many years now.
“It is important for our students to understand the sacrifice made by all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in conflict, war and peacekeeping operations, whilst commemorating the ANZAC spirit,” Wendy said.
