Delving into aspects of science, technology,
engineering and maths to develop thinking skills and foster an ability to design and create was the aim of a recent Yr 3 STEM challenge.
The students designed a paper hoop glider by measuring a precise rectangle, folding it using origami skills and predicting the glider’s trajectory.
Teacher, Ashley Burke said the class then tested the gliders, measuring in metres, to see who made the most aerodynamic flyer.
