MRIS celebrated Australia’s cultural diversity during 2018 Harmony Day. Students and staff performed the ‘Harmony song’, dressed in orange and cultural costume, and odd shoes and socks to raise $92 for the school’s sponsor child. All classes decorated a Harmony Tree with different coloured thumbprints signifying unity. “Harmony Day creates a great opportunity for all of us to think, talk about and recognise how our differences make Australia a great place to live.” said Year 6 teacher Laura.
