A mighty colloborative team effort by the Year 6 students resulted in one of MRIS’s best ever Marble Runs.
Yr 6 Teacher, Laura Nicholls said the experiment ran over 5 weeks combining elements of design, technology, leadership as well as team collaboration and co-operation.
“I was so impressed by the childrens’ efforts. They had to change components if their Marble Run didn’t provide 20 seconds of marble travel,” she said. “They really worked on not giving up and ‘sitting in the struggle’ until they could figure out a solution.”
The Marble Run experiment culminated in a class demonstration with the timing of each construction’s marble journey.
