Thirteen former MRIS students have been elected onto the 2022 Margaret River High School Student Council. Made up of 54 students, ranging from Yr 8 to 12 the students’ leadership abilities have been recognised and put to good use in the school. MRIS principal Wendy said children from MRIS often stood out as leaders. “Our school places a lot of importance on student leadership. We like our students to experience leadership opportunities during their schooling – it helps in building team relationships, defining identity and honing effective communication and interpersonal skills.” Absent: Sana Evans (Year 10), Phoebe Armstrong, Lily Coleman and Chia Desbaux (all Year 8)
