MRIS became part of a Symphony of Stories when the 2026 Book Fair was held recently. Children and staff dressed as their favourite book characters and stepped through an amazing portal, created by the Year 6 class, into the magical surrounds of the school library. The space was transformed by MRIS Library team, Ana and Danielle, bringing this year’s theme to life. “Book Fair was a rip-roaring success!” Ana said. “Thank you for everyone’s effort in helping to create such a successful, fun and exciting day. It was such a delight to see how much the children loved experiencing the library’s transformation, and in how much pride they held for their own creative contributions. Children’s excitement for the books was high and we sold just over $4,600 worth of books, which means the library shelves will have $1,600 worth of new books on them very soon.”
