Pre-Primary Gets A Bike Fix 1
‘Fixing the squeaky wheel’ was the mission when bike shop owner, Robert Astromsky from Life Cycle Bikes conducted a ‘How to Fix a Bicycle’ workshop for the MRIS Pre-Primary students on Monday. A member of the MRIS Governing Body (Alumni Portfolio), Robert’s two daughters, Violet 2003, and Audrey 2005 both attend the school. Robert was also the MRIS Chairperson in the mid-2000s. Robert showed the students how to fix a squeaky wheel and did some repair work on a bike he donated to MRIS a number of years ago. Wendy Roediger said it was wonderful to welcome back members of the MRIS community who had offered so much to the school as a parent and were still generously offering donations as well as their skills and time. MRIS is currently seeking someone to take on the school’s Alumni portfolio. Please contact the school if you can assist.
