Renowned UPLIFTER, Shaun Kay inspired students, teachers and parents to shift their thinking, make a choice and live their best lives when he ran workshops at MRIS last week. The 28 year old’s personal journey of self-transformation lead him to establish Smile Teachers
During the student workshops he covered mindfulness, breathing strategies, resilience and positive framing and emotional regulation. Shaun also conducted a free parenting seminar for parents which was well attended. Principal Wendy Roediger said MRIS was committed to providing parent education as part of its mission to ‘Share the Learning Journey’. “We recognise that parents are a critical factor in a child’s learning success and we all share in the ‘learning journey’,” she said.
