Finding Frogs at MRIS! 1
Matilda (Year 4) checks the pitfall trap

Seven frogs were found when the MRIS Fauna
Monitoring Program kicked off for 2017 on the Nyindamurra
Nature Trail yesterday.
Yr 4 students checked pitfall traps and set-up infra-red motion sensor cameras to track fauna in the area as part of the science curriculum.
Moaning, Whooping and Cracking frogs were
discovered.
Students will be
monitoring the bush once a week whilst checking weather
conditions for ethical considerations.
