MRIS celebrated Australia’s cultural diversity during 2021 Harmony Day this week.
Students and staff dressed in orange, cultural costumes, and odd shoes and socks to raise $80 for the school’s Sponsor Child.
To signify UNITY, the Year 6 class decorated the Nature Garden with silhouettes representing religion, ‘hello’ in different languages, flags and clothing from around the world.
“Harmony Day creates a great opportunity for all of us to think, talk about and recognise how our differences make Australia a great place to live.” said Year 6 teacher Laura.
