As part of the MRIS Better Buddies programme, Year 5/6 students taught Year 1 students how to play Numero, a maths card game for all ages which challenges mathematical understanding and improves mental recall.

Year 5/6 teacher ,Julie Lockyer said the aim was for all MRIS students to become proficient in mental maths through the use of Numero.

“The students are not only improving their maths but  learning life skills such as of taking turns, and good sportsmanship.”
