Members of the Third University (U3A) enjoyed a guided-walk on the Nyindamurra Nature Trail last week.
The Yr 4 student-led tour is part of a new MRIS program
– Nyindamurra Nature Trail Tours.
Principal Wendy Roediger said the tours
evolved as a way of sharing the students’
traditional bush knowledge with the wider
community. “Our students have a wealth of knowledge from their Wardandi mentorship with Josh Whiteland. We are keen to share this with our community.”
The U3A group was impressed by the students understanding of the bush and Noongar seasons and praised the beautiful bush surrounds at the school.
