In a first for MRIS, the Year 2 classroom was transformed into a Virtual Classroom (VC) last Tuesday.
A live webinar was streamed into the classroom allowing the children to learn all about cattle and sheep farming from a farmer based in New South Wales.
Year 2 teacher Kate Appleton said the students enjoyed the Virtual Classroom experience particular the opportunity to take part in an interactive Question & Answer session with two other Eastern State schools.
Learning about farming ties in with the topic the class is
currently studying “How things grow.”
