After great success in the Drama section of the 2016 Bunbury Eisteddfod held last month, another group of MRIS students have performed exceptionally well in the Dance section. In the AcroDuo category, Mia Coleman and Salli Howden-Woodland (Yr 6) were placed second, while Jazz Morwitzer and Kiva Cresswell (Yr 6) received Highly Recommended certificates.
MRIS Dance & Drama specialist Sara Walker said the group produced “an awesome effort up against many professional dancers.”
MRIS principal Wendy Roediger said she was thrilled with results of both Eisteddfod sessions and congratulated Sara and her students on their efforts. “Plans are in place to compete again next year—we hope to have an MRIS team entered annually.”
