MRIS’s inaugural Fun Run was held on Friday with more than $1000 raised for school sports equipment.
Organiser and Yr 4/5 teacher, Lindsay Burke said Pre-primary to Yr 1 ran 500m, while the older students ran a kilometre loop around the school. Yr 6/7 students, Noemie and Lilly completed 11 kms, and Yr 1 students Bonnie, Flynn and Cooper ran 5.5 km.
IGA kindly donated juice and fruit, and St John Ambulance attended to first aid.
The successful event is planned again for 2015.
